Introduction
Dr. Saima J. Ansari, MD, is a board-certified physician specializing in pulmonary and critical care medicine. She practices at Northeastern Pulmonary Associates in Vernon Rockville, Connecticut, serving residents of northeastern Connecticut and neighboring communities.
Dr. Ansari completed her medical education at Dow Medical College in Karachi. She pursued her internal medicine residency at the University of Rochester in New York, where she distinguished herself as chief medical resident and was honored as Resident of the Year. Following her residency, she completed fellowships in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Further enhancing her expertise, Dr. Ansari underwent advanced bronchoscopy training at the Lahey Clinic and Beacon Medical Center.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Ansari serves as an assistant professor of medicine at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her previous teaching roles include contributions to the pulmonary medicine course at the University of Rochester Medical Center and leadership of the Critical Care Journal Club.
Dr. Ansari has an extensive portfolio of publications, presentations, and research projects, particularly focusing on lung diseases. Her professional accolades include the Resident Poster Award and honors in ophthalmology, surgery, pediatrics, and obstetrics-gynecology during her training.
